Until we wait for it to come, let us talk about what we can expect. Let’s go!

Atlis Truck History

Atlis Motor Vehicles was founded in 2016, by Mark Hanchett. He started thinking about electric work truck production back in 2013 after he saw the rise of the Tesla Model S. He had over a decade of experience developing electromechanical and software products, and he used it to form an idea revolving around a new electric pickup truck.

By 2015, Hanchett and a group of his colleagues pondered an idea of how this new electric pickup should look, and they developed the basic specification list for an XT electric pickup.

Why The Hype For Atlis Truck?

The team behind Atlis Truck wanted to build an electric pickup to compete with an F 150 lightning. It is based on an innovative XP platform that will be used for several different towing vehicles and construction machines. And it will have an 8-foot bed!

Its idea is that an electric truck with a battery with a good capacity and quick charging features and that can tow massive loads would bring a new dimension to the market of large working trucks.

High Payload & Towing Capacity

AMV is promising that its Atlis XT electric truck will be able to tow a payload between 5,000 and 20,000 lbs. And that is just a start – an option that includes a fifth wheel and gooseneck would raise the maximum towing capacity to gigantic 35,000 pounds.

High payload is one of the main features that Atlis had in mind when they designed this truck. Putting an affordable electric vehicle to the market that would be rugged and used in difficult terrains and for towing large quantities of goods and materials.

High Driving Range

It is rumored that Atlis XT will have several battery options that would allow for the truck to have a 300 to 500-mile range, with a maximum speed of 120 mph. These characteristics would be quite revolutionary by today’s standards.

Fast Charging

One of the main features that Atlis XT would bring to the market is its fast charging option. The basic model would have a 250 kWh battery pack that can be fully charged in just 15 minutes. It is also rumored that the battery lifespan could reach almost an unreal 1 million miles.

Unique Subscription Program

AMV will offer a unique subscription for its Atlis electric truck. Unlike leasing a vehicle, a subscription will offer a set of features that will include free maintenance, coverage of registration and insurance fees, and free charging at all Atlis charging stations

A basic subscription will be set around a $700 figure, and it can be canceled anytime without penalty fees.

Who Should Avail An Atlis Truck?

Future buyers of Atlis electric pickup trucks are independent users who love to have a rugged work truck they can count on.

An average XT electric pickup truck owner needs a truck for carrying, for example, large amounts of building material, but also for an option to drive on terrains with no quality roads. A truck is a workhorse that is resistant to the elements and can also be a comfy ride for a family trip.

This long wait for this electric pickup truck can be attributed to the need to cover all these demanding features. With a lot of competitors in the market, a project like this should not be rushed, and perfection takes time.

When Is The Atlis Truck Release Date?

Atlis truck release date is one of the hottest topics in the automotive industry for a few years. The dates changed for the last two years, and suspense built up. The latest information gathered from different articles and interviews points out the possibility of limited production series starting in late 2022.
